Biography[]

Carlos was conceived when Celine had an affair with Jim. At some point, he gained a younger brother named Jimmy (who was named after their father) as his parents' affair continued.

Season 2[]

Carlos in first introduced when Maggie Day makes his office the campaign HQ for Jim and David. He is shocked to hear it is for Jim Cryer and promises to make it ready for the two. Later on, he meets Jim and the two stare at each other seemingly recognizing each other before Jim leaves. Landon Payton asks Carlos if he was interested in Jim but Carlos states that isn't the case and states he knows Jim from somewhere.

Carlos goes to the Cryer Mansion to drop off paperwork for Jim, he meets his half-brother Wyatt who tells him that Jim is in his office. While there he amazed by how nice the house is before his mother Celine appears questioning him as to why he is there until Jim appears. He yells at Celine until Carlos defends her revealing she is his mother asking Jim if he remembers him when Jim states he doesn't Carlos reveals he is also Jim's son. He stated he watched Jim on television defending Wyatt asking when is it going to be his turn as he is his son as well. Carlos told his mother that he was tired of waiting to find out when it was going to be his turn to have some time with his father before coldly referring to his father as "Jim" and leaving the mansion. As a result of this confrontation, Carlos is fired from his job at the campaign office by Maggie Day per his father's request.

Carlos is seen arriving at his mother's home to tell her he dropped Jimmy off to school as she waits by the phone for Jim. He tells her to give up on him as he doesn't care about using job termination as well as his treatment towards her as proof. Celine yells him that Jim does care for them but he states the opposite and leaves.

Afterwards, Carlos would undergo a lie detector test from a news crew to show the world he and brother are Jim's other children before his mother arrives telling them to leave. She admonishes him for such an act as he explains he doesn't think Jim should be governor before she scolds by telling him Jim just lost his daughter (Carlos' half-sister).

He then appears on reality TV show with his mother and younger brother during Jim's interview. He explains that it was him who convinced his mother to appear. He shames Jim on national television by stating that Jim shouldn't be allowed to be governor naming the bad treatment of his mother and the negligence towards him and his family as examples. He goes on further by declaring that he is a man who is unable to govern his own home as he doesn't care about anyone not even his other children (who he is sad he never met). Carlos rejected Jim's apology and stated since he is grown man, he doesn't need father in his life and doesn't want Jim in it but states his younger brother needs a father. The interview is interrupted not to long after Maggie Day sabotages the equipment.

Relationship[]

Family[]

Celine Gonzales(Mother)[]

Is Carlos' mother who conceived him by having and an affair with her employer Jim Cryer. Celine loves her son very much as she stated she wished Jim was there for all his kids and was worried when Carlos visited the Cryer mansion. Carlos loves her very much as shown when he defended her honor when Jim scorned her though refused to stop his argument with his father as he stated that he wanted to speak with Jim for years. Carlos openly stated he loved his mother but was not about to let her lie to him anymore as he has gone through enough in his life he coldy ignored his mother's pleas to stop his angry banter and left as the latter tearfully watch this before going inside. Carlos later told his mother to give hope on Jim as he believes the latter does not care about them and they are better off without him.

James "Jim" Cryer (Father)[]

Is Carlos' father who had an affair with his maid Celine. It is unknown if Jim was ever in Carlos' life but this would seem unlikely as Jim had recently met Carlos as the latter worked at his campaign office a few years later and did not learn his relation to Celine until he was confronted by the latter. Carlos stated the he had waited for years to meet Jim and when seeing him on television protecting Wyatt and saying he would always be there for him. Carlos asked when was it going to be his turn to have some time with his father before walking out the home and coldly referring to his father as "Jim" and left the mansion. Later on, Jim requested that Maggie Day and David fire Carlos from the campaign office (without stating the reason for doing so). This shows that he had no interest in connecting with his newly discovered son. Carlos later shames Jim on national television by stating that Jim shouldn't be allowed to be governor as well declaring that the man is unable to govern his own home as he doesn't care about anyone not even his other children (who he is sad he never met). Carlos rejected Jim's apology and stated since he is grown man, he doesn't need Jim in his life and doesn't want him in it but states his younger brother needs one.

Jimmy Gonzales(Younger Brother)[]

Is Carlos' younger brother also born from the affair between Jim and Celine. Carlos loves his brother very much as he is willing to take him to school and watch him while their mother was at work. Jimmy later appeared on television with Carlos and their mother where Carlos shames their father Jim for his negligence and cruelty towards them. Carlos stated since he is grown man, he doesn't need Jim in his life but states his younger brother needs one.
